Ron Cook – City of Edmonton
In this episode I get to spend some (virtual) time up North! The land of lumberjacks, Tim Hortons, Double-Doubles and Hockey… a lot of Hockey. That’s right… Canada. And in this show we actually do not talk a whole lot of Esri! No offense Esri or Arc users, but it is nice to hear somebody using another package out there.
Ron Cook is Geospatial and Planning Services Coordinator in the City Planning Branch, City of Edmonton. He has had the opportunity to lead and sometimes follow a group of geospatial and planning technical professional for the last four years. He brings to this role a comprehensive background that extends over 28 years within the Geospatial industry, education, and consulting. During his career, he has played key roles in many successful Geospatial analysis and information management designs and implementations across Canada.
In addition, he has contributed to the industry as a successful educator at The Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and has held key leadership roles for the GeoAlberta Conference.
